The Perfect Seasonal Breakfast on a Greek Island

Being on a Greek island it is very common to wake up in the morning walk outside and find some gifts from your neighbors.
On my latest trip to Kefalonia, at my grandmothers house, we woke up to find a bag of perfectly ripped, delightfully rich and sweet figs. Right next to the figs, was a freshly made sourdough bread wrapped in a kitchen towel that would later add a tangy flavor and slightly chewy texture to what we were about to make.
I’m not sure if the two were intended to be combined, or up to us to solve the puzzle. But immediately my sister-in-law Taylor and my brother Yiannis had the perfect idea for the Ultimate Seasonal Breakfast Treat.
